The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex twice world boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest financial successes, frequently receiving huge paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters met for the customary face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
